Transport Admin Clerk

Ignition Driver Recruitment are currently recruiting for 4 transport admin clerks to work out of a busy site in Heywood Distribution Park for one of the countries leading 3rd party logistics provider, supporting their retail client.

This is an exciting opportunity for 4 people with previous Admin experience, and we would love to speak to anyone who has done this type of role before. 

Working with Ignition Driver Recruitment as a Transport Admin Clerk: 

  • Briefing and De-briefing drivers at the start and end of shift
  • Maintaining and Updating the relevant internal systems with accurate information
  • Monitoring deliveries and ensuring delivery times are met
  • Inbound/outbound calls with customers/drivers to resolve any queries and update on delivery times etc
  • Putting driver packs together to include run sheets and risk assessments
  • Data Entry & other administration type tasks

Shift times & working hours for our Transport Admin Clerks:

  • 4 out of 7 shifts
    • 2 days, 2 nights
  • 10-hour shifts 
  • Afternoon Shift: 13:00 – 23:00
  • Night Shift: 21:00 – 07:00
  • 1 Weekend in 2

What do we need from you to be a Transport Admin Clerk?

  • Experience within a busy operational office environment
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Good numerical skills
  • Positive and flexible attitude to work
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Strong attention to detail
  • PC Literate with experience of Microsoft Office 
  • Experience preferred working with Microlise transport systems
